Hot off the Press! Californians with Disabilities Win Big with the Creation of the State’s Employment First Office
Congratulations to the California State Council on Developmental Disabilities (SCDD), and Disability Rights California, along with a team of other disability advocate partners in the launch of the state’s Employment First office. Last year, the partners worked tirelessly to pass legislation to phase-out 14(c) in the state and the next step of establishing an Employment First office is critical to ensure holistic systems change needed to maintain the transformative efforts.
