Let’s Explore the Emergence of Artificial Intelligence Work Tools

More than 400 people joined DETAC as we began a dialogue to examine the new frontier of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the potential opportunities and challenges within the labor force for people with disabilities. New AI features and products such as Virtual Reality (VR) have the potential to increase accessibility both within the workforce and our communities. At the same time, there are concerns surfacing about new tools not being designed for people with disabilities in mind and safeguarding privacy. In collaboration with ODEP who funds the Partnership on Employment and Accessible Technology (PEAT) and a guest speaker from the field of AI (Floreo), we explored new tools that are changing the way we interact with the world and how it could shape the future of work for people with disabilities.
