Results and Innovation in Systems Excellence

The Results and Innovation in Systems Excellence (RISE) peer-learning communities are time-limited, results-oriented workgroups of AoD grantees on a specific topic related to strengthen grantees’ efforts to improve CIE and economic advancement of people with disabilities. Purpose

The Results in Systems Excellence (RISE) Peer Action Learning Community on Developmental Disabilities (DD) Council Strategic Planning will be a time-limited e-learning community for state Councils on Developmental Disabilities (CDD) that are interested in receiving direct Technical Assistance (TA) for five-year strategic plan development in the following areas: writing clear measurable goals, activities, milestones, and metrics related to advancing competitive, integrated employment and economic self-sufficiency for people with disabilities.

Target Participants

The RISE Peer Action Learning Community is suitable for any staff member that is employed by state CDDs that are involved in the development of the Council’s five-year strategic plans.

Structure of Technical Assistance

  • Subject Matter Experts: Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) will be assigned to lead the e-learning community based upon the specific TA requests that we receive from the state teams.
  • Schedule: The RISE Peer Action Learning Community will begin in March 2021 and will end in May 2021. Councils will have the opportunity to engage in six sessions (virtual and via email) over the three-month period, based on an identified date and time that works for the state.
  • Logistics: Zoom meeting invitations will be sent from the AoD Disability Employment TA Center Project Team through the TA Center’s email account (AoDEmploymentTA@gmail.com).
