This lesson will explain the importance of Centers for Independent Living (CILs) in building employment partnerships. Participants will learn how to do an inventory of existing partners and conduct resource mapping to identify new partners. Multiple examples of employment services that a CIL can offer will be explored. A specific emphasis on building partnerships with employers and avenues for funding employment programs will be discussed. DETAC’s resource, Developing Successful Strategic Partnerships, will be explored and used as a resource for the course.
